Update (October 17, 2016):
(August 8, 2016) The Imagine Cary Draft Community Plan Open House events celebrated more than 300 community members in attendance providing their thoughts and feedback on the plan’s five major themes. A special thanks to all who attended! The first Open House on July 28th had 130 visitors and the second, held on August 2nd, had more than 200 in attendance.
“Both meetings had a ‘buzz’ about them,” said Jeff Ulma, Cary’s Planning Director, “and it was fun to watch all of the interactions as staff, members of the Committee for the Future, consultants, Council members, and the participants talked about the future of Cary.”
A recap of the Open House events was also featured in CaryCitizen, with more details on the conversation topics and the information featured on display. One attendee noted “this was a well conducted informative meeting. At the various stations there was staff there to answer questions. They were knowledgeable & courteous.”
The Open Houses displayed series of stations where attendees learned about the draft Community Plan and its major recommendations at their own pace. Town staff and the planning team were available to answer questions one-on-one. Visitors were encouraged to identify initiatives that they support and provide feedback in writing. Everyone who cares about Cary was invited.
Did you miss the Open House? You can still provide feedback. The Town of Cary will be collecting comments through the online Open House presentation until September 2, 2016.
Your comments will then be incorporated into the final Imagine Cary Community Plan.
